fic that you want to recommend : to keep you, i'd become the moon  by rubicans. i've always loved character introspection (especially for taehyung, since he doesn't really wear his heart on his sleeve)! the dialogue in this fic is so telling and haunting, and i think that it's a good read especially for people who are struggling to find a sense of belonging ;u;
fave fic written : you know i can take it more  for the plot, rogue planets  for the style, and vmin model AU series  for the tropes (and the filth, haha)
fave genre (of fic) : action (especially with hurt/comfort)
fave writers : for published lit—richard siken, alan lightman, and ray bradbury. for fic (in general), my go-to's are superpol, oeuvre, exfatamorgana, onyu, dollyeo, vminism, skateboardsound, peachguk, and honestly i could go on forever there are so many talented authors out there!
how long have you been writing : about 6 years for actual fic writing!
advice for writers : cracks knuckles time for some science-y goodness from your resident nerd

i like to use protein folding as a metaphor for writing: initially translated proteins occur as a strand, if you will, and eventually fold up to form more complex structures stabilized via particular interactions, much like how words compound into sentences and eventually into paragraphs and a whole story. those interactions have to be just right for us to get to the endgame that we want; the words in a fic have to blend together so they sound right, and so they mean something to someone. but lots of things in the immediate environment can affect/accelerate the folding process, like heat and crowding of the molecules around the protein, and result in a misfolding. it's the same way with fic: your surroundings make a big difference in what the product looks like. if you're crowded with stress and insecurities about your writing, it's okay to take a break. go outside, have conversations (whether small talk or deep, meaningful ones), listen to mood playlists and just watch life transpire. (if you're like me—binge on coffee!!) there's a lot of inspiration lurking, if you look hard enough! fic writing is a process. it takes time, and you definitely shouldn't feel bad about taking too long. let it happen and it'll happen well :-)

what motivates you : big, big AUs, inspo boards, and of course my friends and readers 💖
if you could have 1 superpower : naruto-esque shadow clones. there's always so much that i want to do at the same time!!
what can someone do to make you feel supported and loved : i appreciate it when people take the time to point out the things that they liked about my writing, haha ;u; because it's also a way for me to gauge what my strengths are. also, seeing people yell about my fic and send me things that remind them of my writing makes me giddy!

hardest thing about writing : transitions. how. (+ sticking to slowburn when you just want to get to a certain section and approaching plot points while considering how realistic the development is so far)
easiest thing about writing : it's always easy to brainstorm about basic plot and find inspo :-)

fave book : the little prince by antoine de saint-exupéry, always. (+ 'tuesdays with morrie' & 'einstein's dreams' are close seconds)
fave movie : three idiots!
