fic that you want to recommend: i can’t live if i lose you by tjkm96 is one of the best things i’ve ever read. we promised the world we’d tame it by nonheather is also a favourite. if you’re not into angst, roll with it by conversehigh is the first vmin fic i ever read and it’s honestly so lovely.
fave fic written: i’m not very happy with any of my published works, but out of the vmin ones it’s probably shut up, i love you (you’re my best friend).
fave genre (of fic): i like angst, and all kinds of heartbreak. i also like fake dating because my soul is still fifteen and pining garbage still gets me, always.
fave writers: for novelists, donna tartt, lemony snicket, & vladimir nabokov. for fic, i especially adore stoplight, nonheather, & peachguk, to limit myself. (but there are plenty others.)
how long have you been writing: since i were able to pick up a pen, give or take a few days. it’s been a rocky relationship, though, and we’ve broken up more times than i can count. somehow i always come back, though, and try again. i got into this part of fic around a year ago.
advice for writers: if you have friends, talk to them. idea bounce, have them read your writing, talk about your ideas and thoughts and dialogue snippets. and always: read. read lots.
what motivates you: forever motivated by the fear of being average, or something like that. practice makes perfect, as my mum always said. she also said only stupid people get bored, and i’m bored a lot, so there’s some food for thought.
if you could have 1 superpower: invisibility, always.
what can someone do to make you feel supported and loved: huh. to be honest, i’m all good if you just say you don’t hate me. but i’m also mad needy, so comments are appreciated. that doesn’t just go for me, though—if you like a fic, or a piece of art, or whatever: please leave comments, or at least kudos/likes. if you can spend hours eating through a 50k slow burn high school au star-crossed lovers mutual pining fic, then you can damn well spend .2 fuckin’ seconds hitting that “kudos” button.
hardest thing about writing: honestly? most of it. i struggle a lot with getting ideas at all. i find pacing difficult, and i’m always afraid of writing too much or too little. also something that’s always annoying is when you have a good word/phrase in one language and you either cannot remember it in english, or it just doesn’t work in english at all.
easiest thing about writing: when i know where it’s going and what’s supposed to happen, the actual writing part often flows fairly easily. the result is another topic.
fave book: this is cruel. books are magic & my absolute favourite thing. i read qui touche à mon corps je le tue by valentine goby yesterday and fell in love. i can always read tartt and plath. tana french. the book of monelle. blueeyedboy by joanne harris. albert camus. lemony snicket, my hero since forever. wicked by gregory maguire. try robin stevens’ murder most unladylike series, i love it. i gotta stop. rec me stuff, i’m always looking.
fave movie: i’m not much of a movie person; have watched approx. 2.5 in my life. i like the incredibles.
fave music: lorde dropping melodrama singlehandedly saved not only my life but the year of our lord 2017. girlyboi, wolf colony, & lykke li are god tiers.
