fic that you want to recommend: mmm i have a lot of favorite fics and it's really hard to decide but some of my all-time fav vmins are nightlands by pettey, king of carrot flowers by kokiri, rogue planets by stoplight, tonight, we'll defy the stars (hello my old heart) by fifty-one sunsets, and who you gonna call? (kim taehyung!) by namakemono
fave fic written : probably permanence or constant c:
fave genre (of fic) : fluff! or pining.... really long slowburn friends to lovers with a lots of seemingly unrequited pining but a fluffy, happy ending is the absolute best. also i really enjoy things that are character-driven with lots of introspection. romcoms and magical realism are also great!
fave writers : for fic -- stoplight, unbalancedlove, lissome, skateboardsound, causeitsred, pettey, and kaythebest but also many many more!! for books -- zora neale hurston, sylvia plath, george orwell, toni morrison, ray bradbury, khaled hosseini, and virginia woolf
how long have you been writing : for as long as i can remember, definitely since elementary school when my mother started entering me in poetry competitions. but fic i've written since i was like, 12?? so 12 years now omg
advice for writers : just keep working at it! it's not easy, definitely, but you get better in time. criticism sucks but seek it out from the people you trust to be honest with you and make sure they know your limits beforehand (about how harsh or gentle you want them to be and what you want them to be critiquing exactly). i know having your mistakes pointed out is hard but the only way to improve is to know what you need to improve on. but never let that get you down! everything is a stepping stone on the path to a better you much less making yourself a better writer. also -- set realistic goals. tackle one thing at a time. write down EVERYTHING, even if it's the smallest inkling of an idea. don't give up. and read a lot! both fics and books c:
what motivates you : honestly motivation is something i struggle with a lot but when people are excited about my ideas or my writing, it helps motivate me to write more
if you could have 1 superpower : super speed
what can someone do to make you feel supported and loved : comments! comments make me feel soooo good i love hearing what people liked about a story or even if just getting keysmash from people makes me super happy and like all the hard work i put into a fic was worth it
hardest thing about writing : the actual execution part lol writing the story out
easiest thing about writing : coming up with ideas and fleshing them out
